Freshman scoring phenom Matt Schulz (Casper) netted three of UW's seven goals, boosting his season total to 12. Jake Bates (Jackson), Ryan Bourcier (Warren, Mich.), Billy Ross (Boulder, Colo.) and Levi Wood (Cheyenne) also scored goals for the Cowboys.

Jim Fried (Kirkwood, Mo.) and Luke Walker (Jackson) each recorded two assists last weekend for UW. Bates, Ross, Craig Luplow (Banner) and T.J. Peters (Jackson) also assisted on goals.

College of the Canyons finished as the lone undefeated team, outscoring its tourney opponents by a 26-8 count.

The Cowboys play eight of their next nine games at home, beginning this weekend at the Laramie Ice and Events Center against Dordt College (Friday, 8 p.m.) and the University of South Dakota (Saturday, 7:30 p.m.).

On Sunday, UW makes its debut at the Taco John's Events Center in Cheyenne against South Dakota State University.
