Womens Football Clinic Aug. 25

August 2, 2012

What’s the red zone or why is it called a nickel package? What’s a shotgun formation? Some ladies can answer those questions along with the avid football fan, but for those women wanting to know more about the game, a clinic is planned Saturday, Aug. 25.

The “Xs and Os Cowboy Football Women’s Clinic” is from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Wildcatter Stadium Club and Suites at War Memorial Stadium. Cost is $50 per person and tickets are available through the Cowboy Joe Club by calling Suzy Taylor at 766-6242.

The event is hosted by Jacque Buchanan, Kathy Burman and Susie Christensen. Proceeds will benefit the Cowboys for Kids ticket program.

Ladies will have the opportunity to talk football with the UW Cowboy football coaching staff. Football players will be introduced, an equipment demonstration will be conducted, and an appearance by Western Thunder Marching Band and the UW cheer team are part of the program.

The clinic also features brunch, tours and door prizes.

Space is limited and is open for 200 participants. The deadline to register is Monday, Aug. 13.
