Issues involving glass recycling in the Laramie area will be the focus of a public forum Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Laramie Plains Civic Center Gryphon Theatre, 710 E. Garfield St.
Speakers from the city of Laramie, University of Wyoming recycling and Ark Regional Services will explain why glass recycling has been discontinued in the Laramie area and discuss what other communities are doing. They also will discuss the economics of glass recycling and possible alternatives.
UW Extension, the Haub School, Laramie Rivers Conservation District and city of Laramie are partners in the discussion, sponsored by the UW Campus Sustainability Committee, Environment and Natural Resources Club, and Big Hollow Food Co-Op.
