Works by 15 of the University of Wyoming’s graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts students are on display through Friday, May 15, at the Visual Arts Building Gallery, located on the corner of 22nd Street and Willett Drive.
“The UW Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program is considered the honors program of study in visual arts,” says Diana Baumbach, UW Department of Art assistant professor. “This opportunity is offered to outstanding students who are preparing for art studies, careers and professional activity beyond the undergraduate level.”
A reception for the students is Friday, May 15, from 6-8 p.m. in the Visual Arts Gallery. The event is free and open to the public.
Graduating BFA students who have work on display are: Chancelor Havlik, Leslea Hunt, Molly Elizabeth Markow, Nancy Marlatt, Elizabeth Mendoza, Rebekah Merlino, Cassidy Mittelstadt, Kristen Nielsen, Ryan Keith Parker, Stacy Stibora, Korinne Thoren, Marta Elizabeth Tietge, Chloe West, Shantel Wright and Jon Young.
BFA Student Exhibition work ranges from cut paper, painting and sculpture to metalsmithing, ceramics and printmaking.
The Visual Arts Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
