UW Opens New Cafe in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts

The University of Wyoming’s Residence Life and Dining Services has opened a new dining location, Encore Cafe, in the newly renovated Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts.  

Located near the box office on the main floor, the cafe serves Thomas Hammer coffee and a variety of fresh pastries from Washakie Center’s Rolling Mill Bakery. Encore also sells freshly made packaged sandwiches and salads, including some items made especially for Encore. A variety of bottled drinks is offered.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to serve students, faculty and staff on the east side of campus, and hope that we will attract customers not only in the performing arts building, but also from Information Technology, the law school and athletics,” Assistant Director of Dining Services Marta Givens says.

The cafe, which is open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., does not accept cash, but does accept Visa, MasterCard and WyoOne cards.
