University of Wyoming Calendar for Sept. 26

These are among the activities scheduled Sept. 26-Oct. 2 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Sept. 26, 7 p.m. -- The UW debate team will host a presidential debate watch party in the UW College of Business auditorium. Snacks, games and 2016 voter guides will be provided. Free.

Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1-5 p.m. -- The Center for Advising and Career Services will host the BIG Job Fair in the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center.

Tuesday, Sept. 27, 7 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “ IBEX: The Search for the Edge of the Solar System.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.

Tuesday, Sept. 27-Saturday, Oct. 1, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 2, 2 p.m. -- The UW Department of Theatre and Dance will present William Shakespeare’s play “The Comedy of Errors” in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts Thrust Theatre. Tickets cost $14 for the public, $11 for senior citizens and $7 for UW students. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1-5 p.m. -- The Center for Advising and Career Services will host the Engineering and Sciences Job Fair in the Gateway Center.

Wednesday, Sept. 28, 7 p.m. -- Former U.S. Ambassador Gary Grappo and his wife, Rebecca, will present “Under a Crescent Moon: Being a U.S. Diplomat in the Middle East” in the Performing Arts recital hall. The lecture is in conjunction with “The Bridge,” an international, interfaith art exhibition. Free.

Wednesday, Sept. 28, 8 p.m. -- 7220 Entertainment presents comedian Sara Schaefer in the lower level of the Wyoming Union. Free.

Thursday, Sept. 29, 7 p.m. -- Studio WYO presents open mic night hosted by Joseph Daniel Korpitz in the Wyoming Union Gardens. Free.

Thursday, Sept. 29, 7:30 p.m. -- The UW Wind Symphony will perform a concert in the Performing Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $10 for the public, $7 for senior citizens and $6 for students. Friday, Sept. 30, 4 p.m. -- Cowgirl soccer vs. UNLV, Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Ticket prices vary.

Friday, Sept. 30, 4:10 p.m. -- The UW Department of Anthropology Fall 2016 Seminar Series presents Jack Stilgoe, lecturer in social studies of science at University College London. His talk, “Governing Emerging Technologies as Collective Experiments: From Geoengineering to Self-driving Cars,” will be in the Anthropology Building, Room 150. Free.

Friday, Sept. 30, 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. -- The 7220 Entertainment Films Committee presents “Ghostbusters” (2016) in the Wyoming Union Family Room. Free. 

Friday, Sept. 30, 7:30 p.m. -- Amir Vahab and Ensemble will perform “Sufi Songs of Love” in the Performing Arts concert hall. The concert is in conjunction with “The Bridge,” an international, interfaith art exhibition. Free.

Friday, Sept. 30, 7:30 p.m. -- Guest saxophonist Dan Goble will perform in the Performing Arts recital hall. Free.

Friday, Sept. 30, 8 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “ Dark: The Movie.” A STAR Observatory tour follows at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.

Sunday, Oct. 2, noon -- Cowgirl soccer vs. Nevada, Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Ticket prices vary.
