UW Art Museum to Offer Family Workshop March 4

The University of Wyoming Art Museum will host Family Saturday Workshop March 4, from 10 a.m.-noon.

Family Saturday Workshop is an open studio, maker space-inspired workshop. It will be led by the Art Museum’s trained teaching artists and educators to help families explore artistic materials and concepts inspired by the UW Art Department Faculty Exhibition and the 42nd annual Juried UW Student Exhibition. The workshop is free for families and individuals of all ages.

Special guest teaching artists and award winners from the Juried UW Student Exhibition at the workshop include Jessica Beilharz and Shay Neville.

Through its “Museum as Classroom” approach, the UW Art Museum places art at the center of learning for all ages. Located in the Centennial Complex at 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie, the museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday hours are extended to 7 p.m. February through April and September through November. Admission is free.
