Across 2023, the Wallop Civic Engagement Program has partnered with the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation to make the foundation's multimedia resources available to Wyoming social studies and English language arts teachers. 

 

National Network for Education Renewal Webinar Led by Wallop Co-Directors:

On March 4th, 2022, the University of Wyoming Wallop Civic Engagement Program K-12 Project Team and Trustees Education Initiative (TEI) led the National Network for Educational Renewal (NNER) First Thursday webinar. This webinar focused on bringing civic engagement back into classrooms along with a focus on cross-college collaboration. The NNER Journal article "Cross-College Collaboration and Successful Civic Engagement through On-Demand Digital Content" authored by Jean Garrison, Jason McConnell and Curtis Biggs can be viewed here and begins on page 183.

UW Research project seeks state residents' input on community needs through pictures

The University of Wyoming’s “Profiles in Wyoming Resilience” research project is gathering citizen input to help obtain a better picture -- documented through submitted photographs -- of the opportunities and barriers the Cowboy State’s residents face in the areas of academic attainment, employment opportunities and community resilience, as related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
