Employee Wellness Initiative Program

What is the Employee Wellness Initiative Program?
- The Employee Wellness Initiative Program at the University of Wyoming, designed to
enhance the overall well-being of our employees. By focusing on physical and mental
health, this initiative offers employees an opportunity to invest in their health
while saving on membership costs to the Half Acre Recreation & Wellness Center.
Why Join?
- When you join Wellness in the WEST, you gain access to the tools and resources necessary
to lead a healthier lifestyle. Not only will you enjoy the benefits of improved mental
and physical wellness, but you'll also receive financial savings on your Half Acre
membership.
Qualifying Criteria
- To participate in the Wellness in the WEST program, employees must meet the following
qualifications:
- Be a benefited employee of the University of Wyoming.
- Be enrolled in the State of Wyoming Employee Group Insurance (EGI) benefits.
- Purchase the annual Half Acre Recreation & Wellness Center membership and sign up
for monthly payroll deduction.
- Complete the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification training, provided by the Wellness Center.
What You’ll Get
- Once enrolled in the program, your monthly Half Acre membership contribution will
be reduced to just $9.04 once the insurance premium contribution is applied. This affordable rate is part of
our commitment to making wellness accessible for all employees.
