The ICAP is an evaluation to help determine the services and supports needed by people who receive Comprehensive Waiver disability services through Wyoming Department of Health, Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Section. This is an important step in the process of obtaining and maintaining HCBS waiver services.
The ICAP assesses the following:
Motor skills
Social and communication skills
Personal living skills
Community living skills
Managing emotions and behaviors
ICAP scores are used by the Wyoming Department of Health, Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Section as part of the basis for determining eligibility for funding within the developmental disabilities service system. HCBS contracts with WIND to conduct initial, emergency, and continuing eligibility ICAP interviews throughout the state. Hundreds of interviews are conducted each year.
You may be talking to new faces from WIND who are now part of the ICAP assessment team. Meet the new team!
