Early Childhood

The University of Wyoming supports families and professionals through a range of programs focused on early childhood health and development. These initiatives provide evidence-based information, training, and support for families of children with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special health care needs. Programs like the Wyoming Family to Family Health Information Center and UW ECHO for Families foster family-professional partnerships, while national collaborations such as Act Early ECHO promote early identification practices across states. Additional efforts focus on training interdisciplinary teams to support children impacted by trauma, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and prenatal substance exposure, linking research to practical care in local communities.
