Credit Information

We are pleased to offer several professional development credit options for your participation in the UW Project ECHO networks. 
*Please note that credits and certificates of attendance cannot be awarded for viewing past session materials on WyoLearn.*

Professional Teaching Standards Board Credit (PTSB)

PTSB credit is available for participants of Act Early, Assistive Technology, Autism and Positive Behavior Supports, Early Childhood, Families, SCOPE (Supporting Children of the OPioid Epidemic), and Student Health networks.

PTSB credit is awarded once an academic year in early June.

Credit Available: 0.5 PTSB credit for every 6 live sessions attended. You may mix and match sessions from different networks.
To receive credit for attending the live sessions, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test. A link will be emailed to participants following the first ECHO session attended.

  2. Attend the live sessions AND complete the session evaluations that are emailed to you after each session. Enter your PTSB number on your evaluation.

  3. Complete a post-test for each network attended. The post-test will become available in early May and will close in early June. A link will be emailed to all participants.

STARS Credit

STARS credit is available for participants of Act Early, Autism and Positive Behavior Supports, Early Childhood, Families, and SCOPE (Supporting Children of the OPioid Epidemic) networks.

Credit Available: 1.0 standard clock hour per session attended.
To receive credit for attending the live sessions, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test (a link will be emailed to participants following the first ECHO session attended) and indicate that you will be joining the Assistive Technology, Autism, and/or Early Childhood network sessions.

  2. Attend the live sessions in the above networks AND complete the session evaluations that are emailed to you after each session. Enter your 9-digit STARS Registry ID on your evaluation.

  3. Complete the post-test. The post-test will become available in early May and will close in early June. A link will be emailed to all participants.

Credit will be awarded in December and in early June.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Continuing Education Credits 

The University of Wyoming is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.  

ANCC credit is available for participants of Student Health and Integrative Care.  

Contact hour certificates will be sent to participants in January (for fall sessions) and June (for spring sessions). To claim 1.25 contact hours, the participant must be in attendance for the entire presentation, including the question-and-answer segment and the case presentation, and complete the learning evaluation survey. Partial contact hours will not be awarded.  

To receive ANCC credits, you will need to complete the following: 

Fall Semester Sessions 

  1. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test. A link will be emailed to participants following the first ECHO session attended. 
  2. Attend live UW ECHO sessions and submit corresponding session evaluations. On the evaluation, mark “Yes” when asked, “Would you like to receive American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) Credit for this session?” If you do not mark “Yes” to this question, you will not receive a contact hours certificate for that session. You will then be asked to provide your name as you would like it to appear on the contact hours certificate. 
  3. The deadline for all requirements is Sunday, January 7, 2024. Certificates will be emailed by Friday, January 19, 2024 

Spring Semester Sessions 

  1. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test. A link will be emailed to participants following the first ECHO attended. 
  2. Attend live UW ECHO sessions and submit corresponding session evaluations. On the evaluation, mark “Yes” when asked, “Would you like to receive American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) Credit for this session?” If you do not mark “Yes” to this question, you will not receive a contact hours certificate for that session. You will then be asked to provide your name as you would like it to appear on the contact hours certificate.  
  3. The deadline for all requirements is Friday, June 14, 2024. Certificates will be emailed by Friday, June 21, 2024. 

UW Graduate Credit

UW graduate credit is available for participants of any UW ECHO network (excluding Geriatrics).

UW graduate credit is awarded twice an academic year, once in December for the fall semester and once in May for the spring semester. You may earn 1 credit hour each semester. There is a $60 registration fee which must be paid with a credit card online.

To receive credit, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Please email projectecho@uwyo.edu about your interest in Graduate Credit. Instructions on how to register will be emailed to you.

  2. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test. A link will be emailed to participants following the first ECHO session attended.

  3. Attend 12 live sessions and complete the session evaluation. You may mix and match sessions from different networks.

  4. Present a professional development training or a case presentation.

  5. Complete the UW ECHO post-test for each network attended. A link will be emailed to participants.

Certificate of Attendance

Certificates of Attendance are available for participants of any UW ECHO network. Certificates will be sent to participants in January (for fall sessions) and June (for spring sessions). You will earn 1.25 contact hours for each session you attend (1.5 contact hours for Act Early, Assistive Technology, Autism for Rural Healthcare Providers, and SCOPE (Supporting Children of the OPioid Epidemic)).

To receive a certificate, you will need to complete the following:

Fall Semester Sessions

  1. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test. A link will be emailed to participants following the first ECHO session attended.

  2. Attend live UW ECHO sessions and submit corresponding session evaluations.

  3. The deadline for all requirements is Sunday, January 7, 2024. Certificates will be emailed by Friday, January 12, 2024

Spring Semester Sessions

  1. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test. A link will be emailed to participants following the first ECHO attended.

  2. Attend live UW ECHO sessions and submit corresponding session evaluations.

  3. Complete the post-test for each network attended. The post-tests will become available in early May. A link will be emailed to all participants.

  4. The deadline for all requirements is Friday, May 31, 2024. Certificates will be emailed by Friday, June 7, 2024.
