Strategic Planning
The Wyoming WWAMI Strategic Planning process was conducted over a focused retreat from July 30th through August 1st, 2025. Facilitated by Curt Swenson and the team from Future Sync, this collaborative effort engaged a diverse group of Wyoming WWAMI faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders devoted to advancing the mission of Wyoming WWAMI's medical education program. The aim was to develop a clear, actionable blueprint to guide the program’s growth, impact, and sustainability for the next 1–5 years.
During the retreat, participants undertook a comprehensive assessment of strengths, challenges, and opportunities facing Wyoming WWAMI. The process emphasized inclusive stakeholder input and utilized structured facilitation techniques to ensure alignment around key priorities. As a result, a set of strategic pillars emerged, which now serve as the foundation for Wyoming WWAMI’s future initiatives. These pillars include 1) enhancing the program’s brand and visibility, 2) strengthening faculty and staff retention, and 3) prioritizing student success through an outstanding educational experience and support structures. Each pillar is supported by clearly defined goals, measurable objectives, and designated sponsors to drive accountability and progress.
This collaborative strategic planning effort reflects Wyoming WWAMI’s commitment to fostering a world-class, community-centered medical education program designed to meet Wyoming’s healthcare workforce needs and serve its communities effectively.
