About Us

We are the Data Science Core (formerly Bioinformatics Core) supported by the Wyoming INBRE grant at the University of Wyoming. Our mandate is to foster data science activities in the state. In this endeavor, we work at multiple institutions such as the seven Wyoming community colleges and the UW-Laramie and Casper campuses.

We offer a broad range of services to the Wyoming students and researchers in biomedical and biological sciences disciplines. This includes formal teaching, providing specific trainings for data analytical procedures and participating in research collaborations with faculty throughout the state. All of our services are completely free of charge.

The DSC is located in C103 on the first floor of the Science Initiative Building (corner of 9th and Bradley) on the main UW campus. Here you'll find our offices, a wet lab, a computational lab and collaboration space.
