Horse Camp

Horse Camp

4-H Horse Camp is open to all Wyoming 4-H Club Members, Parents, 4-H Leaders, and Wyoming Extension Personnel. The educational programs presented at Horse Camp are designed to provide practical, hands-on training.  The major emphasis of the camp is to improve safe riding and handling skills.

Camp Information

 Regretfully, due to COVID-19 we are unable to hold Horse Camp in 2020. However, we are looking forward to Horse Camp 2021. Please check back in the Spring of 2021 for further details.

  • Youth Registration
    • Limited to 50 youth participants and is filled on a first-paid, first-served basis.
    • Youth registration deadline: coming soon
  • Volunteer Application
    • Lead Camp Instructors limited to 10 that will receive funding from State 4-H Foundation.
    • Volunteer registration deadline: coming soon.

  • For the participants to enjoy themselves and have fun
  • For the participants to learn and understand horse safety
  • For the participants to enhance their horsemanship abilities
  • To improve the skills of 4-H Members in areas such as basic seat & balance, control, turn on haunches, forehand, reining, showmanship, and more.
