Qin Zhu, Faculty Fellow

qin_zhuQin Zhu, Ph.D., is a Professor and International Program Coordinator in the Division of Kinesiology and Health (DKH) at the University of Wyoming. Dr. Zhu is recognized as a movement scientist with passion to study how perception and action intertwine in producing skilled and functional movements. His research work resulted in numerous publications in reputable journals, patented technology and federal fundings. Dr. Zhu is also known as an international scholar who embraces the global perspectives in delivering knowledge and conducting research. His global engagement has led to the newly established Nordic Ski Educational Coaching program between UW-DKH and Shanghai University of Sport, which integrates language and cultural learning, academic and athletic training, as well as international research collaboration. During his fellowship, Dr. Zhu will continue his effort in developing global engagement for UW faculty and students, which includes developing research collaborations with international institutional and/or corporate partners to promote health sciences, making transdisciplinary connections around the theme of global health among faculty within and outside the College of Health Sciences, and recruiting international students interested in studying health sciences and creating opportunities for UW students to study abroad.
