UWAA Strategic Plan Process

At our spring board meeting on April 21-22, 2017 the UW Alumni Association launched the process to review and update our 2015-2020 Strategic Plan (PDF). We have begun the review on our vision, mission and values and to develop goals, objectives and strategies in the areas of engagement, communication, student enrichment and resources and infrastructure. We are committed to preserve the traditions of the Association while identifying strategies to implement the necessary changes to optimize resources (financial, staff and other) necessary to better engage our alumni and meet their expectations in the future. The process is designed to update our strategic plan to ensure the Association is positioned to provide high quality programs and services for alumni and students and be in alignment with UW priorities to support UW in accomplishing its goals defined in the UW Strategic Plan: Breaking Through: 2017-2022 A Strategic Plan for the University of Wyoming. We are excited about the engagement initiatives included within the UW Strategic Plan and the role that the Association will play in assisting the university in accomplishing its goals.

The board received public comment beginning August 2 on our strategic plan through August 18, 2017 and encouraged all UW alumni to provide feedback.Upon receiving feedback and input from alumni and members of the UW Community, our board updated the plan and adopted the final strategic plan at the UWAA Fall Board of Directors Meeting from September 15-16, 2017.
