About Us

The Wyoming Home Modification Action Coalition (WYHMAC) represents a partnership between organizations who share the goals of improving safety and facilitating independent living and aging-in-place among older adults and younger persons with disabilities.

Currently, WYHMAC is made up of professionals from the following organizations:

• Wyoming Older Adults Falls Prevention
• Wyoming Center on Aging, University of Wyoming
• Wyoming Department of Health, Aging Division
• Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County
• Wyoming Independent Living

Our collective vision is to provide strong advocacy for and to raise awareness about home modifications and their efficacy; to provide training and resources within Wyoming communities that promote development of effective home modification; and to conduct quality research to serve as the basis for home modification interventions.

Mission: To promote home safety, independence and quality of life of Wyoming residents through increased access to home modifications.
