Percussion Ensemble

The University of Wyoming Percussion Ensemble performs one concert each semester with the complete array of percussion instruments (skins, woods, metals) and features a variety of musical styles (classical, Latin, ragtime, rock, fusion).  Enrollment is open primarily to percussion majors, but non-major percussionists are encouraged to inquire as to space availability by contacting the director, Ed Breazeale.

The University of Wyoming Pan Band comes from within the percussion ensemble personnel and performs traditional Caribbean Island steel drum music.  This popular group has appeared at various campus venues since its inception in 1991.

The UW Percussion Ensemble performs Joshua Redman's composition "Jazz Crimes." Arranged by UW percussion instructor Ed Breazeale for steel pans, keyboard percussion and drum set/auxiliary percussion.
