How to Prepare a Poster Presentation
Use the links on the left to find out about grant writing, human subjects (and the IRB), how we can assist you in your equipment, software, and scholarship needs, and much more!
Here are some helpful links when you're ready to design your poster from The Scientist Magazine, Penn State University, North Carolina State University, and Eastern Kentucky University.
PRINTING a POSTER
ON PAPER: UW campus in the Department of Animal Sciences (the fee is $50 and includes one draft as well as final glossy product) as well as the Geological Information Science Center (GISC; poster prices very depending on size).
8x11 pages: Some researchers prefer to print their "poster" on numerous powerpoint slides and then tack them to the conference board.
Cloth Poster (Iron and go!) Another option is to print a cloth poster that can easily be folded in your suitcase and ironed before your session. Cloth posters can be found here.
CARRYING the POSTER: The UW Bookstore and Amazon both sell conference-poster tubes for carrying your poster to and from your conference/meeting
**And remember, we're here at the NCNS to help you, so please contact us if you'd like some assistance!
Take a look at what posters we're working on for The Society of Behavioral Medicine's annual conference in April!
