Student Opportunities

There are many ways for students at the University of Wyoming to get involved in sustainability initiatives. Many courses at UW are relevant to the topic of sustainability and a minor in sustainability is offered through the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources. Sustainability at UW happens in the classroom, lab, field and through collaborative activities. In addition, several student and volunteer groups on campus are actively involved in sustainability in some way.

Sustainability Coalition

The Sustainability Coalition at the University of Wyoming will fosters sustainable culture in UW’s student body, faculty, staff, and community. Learn more and join the coalition!

Want to be involved with the Campus Sustainability Committee?

Each year, the Campus Sustainability Committee hires interns to assist with sustainability outreach/education or keep a record of greenhouse gas emissions for the university. The interns help the committee advance its mission while building valuable professional skills and experience.

Undergraduate or graduate students interested in being a communications or greenhouse gas inventory intern, please contact us at uwsustainability@uwyo.edu for details.
