Landee joins the UW faculty to teach numerous levels of acting. Her work in the theatre has included both non-profit and professional theatre organizations, as well as experience in education. She served a professional internship at Stages Repertory Theatre in Houston, TX. In addition to functioning as the assistant to the Artistic Director, Rob Bundy, she served as assistant director for their productions of Searching for Eden: the Diaries of Adam and Eve, directed by Bundy and Pecos Bill and the Ghost Stampede directed by Bryan Byrnes. Other directing projects include Bed at the Albee New Play Festival in Houston, TX under the direct supervision of Lanford Wilson. She directed Independence at UW and most recently was assistant director for Spontaneous Theatre Company’s production of Our Town.
As a performer, favorite roles include Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), The House of Blue Leaves (Bananas), Marvin’s Room (Lee) and On the Verge (Alexandra) at the University of Wyoming, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena) at Huntington Beach Playhouse’s Shakespeare in the Park, Rumors (Chris), Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)(Desdemona) at UW Summer Theatre and A Bird and a Fish Can Marry….(Dr. Elman) at Eclectic Theatre, Houston TX.
She worked at the non-profit Huntington Beach Playhouse for five years where she was a manager involved in all aspects of the production of their nine show season. She has also worked locally with Wendy de la Harpe’s Dare2Dance organization, which creates performance opportunities for young dancers and actors. She taught their acting workshop and also directed a portion of de la Harpe’s children’s theatre collaboration with UW, Evo-Cete: the Big Blue Journey.
