March 26, 2015 — Original works that incorporate contemporary modern dance, ballet and vertical dance will be presented Tuesday, March 31-Friday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts Studio Theatre.
March 17, 2015 — Two University of Wyoming students won first-place honors at a regional theater festival and will compete for national honors at next month’s national festival at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
February 27, 2015 — Actors From The London Stage (AFTLS), a self-directed ensemble of five professional British actors, will appear in William Shakespeare’s tragedy, “Macbeth,” Saturday, March 7, at the University of Wyoming. The UW Department of Theatre and Dance sponsors the two productions.
February 26, 2015 — The University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance, in partnership with Wyoming PBS and Wyoming Public Media, will bring four of the Bard’s beloved plays to various Wyoming communities in March with the tours of “The Shakespeare Project” and “Macbeth.”
February 20, 2015 — A Shakespearean mini-festival is scheduled when the University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance presents “The Shakespeare Project.” Three of the Bard’s beloved comedies will be produced in rotation over six nights.
December 2, 2014 — The timeless classic “The Nutcracker” -- with a Laramie and Western theme -- will be performed Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 11-13, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. in the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences auditorium.
October 24, 2014 — “The Liar,” an uproarious reworking of Pierre Corneille’s classic 17th century farce by American playwright David Ives, runs Nov. 4-8 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts Studio Theatre.
October 17, 2014 — University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance students have an opportunity to learn and perform with the nationally recognized Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company Saturday, Oct. 25, as part of the fall UW Cultural Programs series.
September 30, 2014 — All sacred cows imaginable are headed for the dinner table in “The Exit Interview,” a new comedy by University of Wyoming playwright-in-residence William Missouri Downs that turns the classic human relations send-off on its head in hilariously epic fashion.
