Summer camps available for kids age 3-16 on a variety of topics from marine biology and coding to chemistry and Wyoming energy. Dates, times, and costs vary. STEM (updated 2/2016)

Elementary: Science Kids (Cody, Laramie and Sheridan)

Science Kids’ goal is to get kids outside, where great learning happens. We keep our class sizes small and hire instructors who are highly trained in science as well as education. We also utilize excellent outdoor sites and make safety a priority. While most of our classes are held in the summer, we also partner with local organizations to bring science programming to the community throughout the year. STEM (Updated 2/2016)

Upper Elementary: TACoS (The Artful Craft of Science)

NEW UPDATE! TACoS Take 2 is a free camp for upcoming 4th-6th graders running July 5-8, 2016 on UW's main campus. Students work with chemistry in three areas including: 1) agricultural education, 2) astronomy and order of magnitude, and 3) art. Registration is first come, first served for up to 21 students. Middle School: STARBASE Summer Camps (Laramie County)

Planning for the FREE STARBASE summer camps has begun. This year we are adding more camp experiences. Some of the camps we will offer will include rocketry, CAD, Engineering, Chemistry, satellites, airplanes and rocket car Wyoming STARBASE Academy, Department of Defense Youth Program, has operated in partnership with the Wyoming National Guard and Wyoming Military Department since 1994. STARBASE serves, free of charge, fifth grade public, private, and home-school students in Laramie County, Wyoming. Through team-work, students participate in challenging "hands-on, mind-on" activities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), interact with military personnel to explore careers and make connections with the "real world". For students completing 5th-8th grades who have not previously attended a University sponsored camp at TSS. Week-long residential camp at Teton Science School, Kelly, WY. 2016 Applicants set to open in mid-March. ENERGY (updated 2/2016)

Sheridan College

Junior High: Summer Programs in Energy and Paleontology (Sheridan County)

NOT OFFERED IN 2016. (Will be offered again in future summers.) The Sheridan College Natural Science Division and our Sheridan College Museum of Discovery are a STEM resource for students, teachers and residents of Sheridan County. We currently offer a 3 day summer energy program for junior high students. We also offer summer field experiences in paleontology. Wyoming Dinosaur Academy

Wyoming Dinosaur Academy

This week long program, held in Thermopolis, Wyoming, explores the many aspects of paleontology, from discovery to display. Participants will spend most mornings and some afternoons digging in the quarries, making observations, and recording data. Students will also participate in discussions and hands-on learning in areas such as molding and casting, preparation of bones, and of course, all about dinosaurs! The dates for 2016 are July 24th-29th and enrollment is limited to 10 students. GEO and PALEO (Updated 3/2016)

For high school juniors. Week-long residential camp at the University of Wyoming. his is a competitive program. Students interested in any career path are encouraged to apply. Those selected will have the chance to engage in exciting and innovative activities such as building a digital circuit, programming a robotic device or designing timber trusses. ENG (Updated 2/2016)

For students who have completed 10th-12th grades. 6-week, paid summer research program working with a research scientist at the University of Wyoming. STEM (Updated 2/2016)

The Upward Bound/UBMS Summer Program is an incredible opportunity that gives high school students a hands-on introduction to college. This six-week academic and residential program is offered at no charge to Upward Bound/UBMS participants and offers experiences and memories. STEM and Beyond (Updated 2/2016)


High School: Wyoming Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Health Careers Summer Camp (UW)

For student 8th - 11th grade. Five-day residential camp at the University of Wyoming. The Wyoming AHEC Summer Camp is designed to expose high school students to the different healthcare careers available in Wyoming. HEALTH (Updated 2/2016)
