Lee Grimm Receiving the Jeanine and Warren Hodges UWAA Scholarship is a great honor and I am very grateful to have received this scholarship. As with many other students, it is always a great worry to be capable of covering the costs of attending university. I will be attending classes with the intention of graduating with my Bachelors Degree in Physiology. I am also going to be a member of the Pre-Medicine program as I intend to attend medical school after I graduate from the University of Wyoming. I will attend medical school with the intention to become an Orthopedic Surgeon and practice in the state of Wyoming. In order to achieve this goal, I plan to apply to the WWAMI Program and continue residency and practice in Wyoming. I have been interested in the medical field since I was a Freshman in high school and I have attended work-study at our local hospital. During my time at this hospital, I have had the wonderful opportunity of watching multiple surgical procedures which have further developed my passion for healthcare. |
Teagan Marsh Your support means the world to me and this scholarship will really help me in many ways. With this generous scholarship it helps me get rid of some stress knowing that I am getting closer to not having a large amount of college debut. So now I can focus on my classes and academics and even find clubs to join instead of having to worry about working all the time to find a way to pay for college. I have been working so hard to get good grades, and take college classes in high school to get more credits, and filling out applications for scholarships. It means so much to get this scholarship and know that people do recognize everything I have done and accomplished. So I want to thank you again for this scholarship. My major is nursing. I am currently in the Basic BSN program which means I am on the course to get my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Once I graduate and become a nurse I plan on going to work in a hospital as a pediatric nurse. I love being around kids and I think it will be very rewarding to help people especially kids who can’t always help themselves especially when it comes to something medical. |
