Mission
The Accounting Office consists of General Accounting, Check Disbursement and Asset Management. The office maintains the university financial accounting system; provides financial reporting; maintains financial information on the State of Wyoming accounting system; provides internal control; functions as a resource to the UW community for accounting and financial information; and ensures that UW business transactions are conducted and reported in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures.

Check Disbursement
The Check Disbursement office at the University of Wyoming is responsible for issuing payments on behalf of the university, including vendor checks, employee reimbursements, and other financial obligations. The office ensures all disbursements comply with university policies and state regulations. By managing payment processing efficiently and securely, the unit supports the university’s financial operations and accountability.
