Research Experience
Dr. Bares joined the faculty at UW in the fall of 2022 after completing his Ph.D. at Bowling Green State University. Dr. Bares’ research focuses on juvenile offending and desistance from crime, prison reentry, and the types and influence of support given by a parole officer. His research has been published in journals such as Crime and Delinquency, Criminal Justice Studies, and Youth Violence & Juvenile Justice.
