Professional Opportunities

Communication careers include human resources, sales, government, law, political campaigns, communication consultation, governmental lobbying, public information office, speech instruction, and customer service.

 

Journalism Majors

Journalism majors are encouraged to work in media production. The department offers unique professional opportunities for students with the student newspaper The Branding Iron, Wyoming Public Media, and University of Wyoming Athletics.

 

Communication Majors

Communication majors may choose one of six suggested advising tracks: advertising, visual communication, cultural communication, political communication, public relations, and rhetorical studies.
