COLLEGIATE LEARNING ASSESSMENT (CLA)
The University of Wyoming participated in a four-year longitudinal study sponsored by the Lumina Foundation and the Council for Aid to Education using the CLA to assess student learning from 2005 to 2009. In 2005-06, UW recruited 276 freshmen to participate. This group of students was followed for a four-year period.
The University of Wyoming currently conducts a cross-sectional study of its students using the CLA once every three years. In these cross-sectional studies, approximately 100 freshmen and 100 seniors are asked to take the CLA. UW conducted two cross-sectional studies (in 2011-2012 and 2014-2015 academic years). CLA results are available upon request.
