Student learning outcomes (SLOs) tell us what students will be able to do upon the
completion of a course and degree program.
At the University of Wyoming, the intent is for SLOs to be student centered, specific
and measurable. As we focus on student learning and learning improvement, it is important
to consider what, how and why learning occurs. Beginning with SLOs gives us a roadmap
on where to go and then we focus very specifically on how the curriculum, pedagogy
and co-curricular experiences support that attainment.
