  • UW News: A major gift to UW will establish a faculty fellowship for the University of Wyoming Department of History honoring Dr. Phil Roberts. Click here for the full UW News Article.
  • UW History major Andrea Edwards completed a month-long internship at the University of Edinburgh, funded by the UW in Scotland program. She wrote this blog post about her experience.
  • History MA student Becca Lovell has published an article in Jamestowne Society Magazine titled "The Male Ordeal: Early Modern Masculinity in Jamestown, 1607 - 1622", Becca's article starts on page 13. 
  • Peter Walker published an essay titled "Ignorance is Bliss, or, Teaching the Dangers of Teleology with The Great Cat Massacre" on The Age of Revolutions.
  • History MA graduate Liam Connor's article, provisionally titled "Cowboy and Kingdom: Rodeo, the Church Growth Movement, and the Creation of the Christian Cowboy," was accepted for publication in Montana: The Magazine of Western History
  • History MA graduate Liam Connor published an essay in the Journal of the American Revolution titled "Boudica and the American Revolution."
    • Additionally, he also recorded an accompanying episode of "Dispatches," the JAR podcast. 
  • History MA student Becca Lovell has been awarded the Jamestowne Society Fellowship, an annual fellowship to support completion of a graduate thesis or essay on the history and culture of Virginia before 1700. 
  • Dr. Peter Walker published an essay for the Public Domain Review titled "Little Boney: James Gillray and Napoleon's Fragile Masculinity."
  • Dr. Adam Blackler released the paperback version of his book An Imperial Homeland: Forging German Identity in Southwest Africa
  • Dr. Alexandra Kelly released a book titled Consuming Ivory.
  • Dr. Melissa Morris received a U.S. Scholar Fulbright Award for her work Juan Rodriguez and the Dutch Atlantic World.
  • Dr. Peter Walker received a NEH Summer Grant Award for his work The Church Militant: Loyalism, the Church of England, and the American Revolution. Dr. Walker is the first UW Faculty Member to win this award. 
  • UW News: UW History Program has been ranked in the top 1% for a "best value" by College Factual.
