UW History major Andrea Edwards completed a month-long internship at the University
of Edinburgh, funded by the UW in Scotland program. She wrote this blog post about her experience.
History MA graduate Liam Connor's article, provisionally titled "Cowboy and Kingdom:
Rodeo, the Church Growth Movement, and the Creation of the Christian Cowboy," was
accepted for publication in Montana: The Magazine of Western History.
Additionally, he also recorded an accompanying episode of "Dispatches," the JAR podcast.
History MA student Becca Lovell has been awarded the Jamestowne Society Fellowship,
an annual fellowship to support completion of a graduate thesis or essay on the history
and culture of Virginia before 1700.
Dr. Melissa Morris received a U.S. Scholar Fulbright Award for her workJuan Rodriguez and the Dutch Atlantic World.
Dr. Peter Walker received a NEH Summer Grant Award for his workThe Church Militant: Loyalism, the Church of England, and the American Revolution. Dr. Walker is the first UW Faculty Member to win this award.
