Fred Crowell from Physical Plant (standing in front of the bike rack) watches as the GE Motor-Generator is lifted out of the Ivinson building after it was retired, having been replaced by a large Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS). It sat on the driveway for over a year, and finding no buyer, was sold as scrap.
