- About UW
Hannah was born and raised in Powell, Wyoming. She attended the University of Wyoming for her undergraduate degree, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.
When applying to law school, Hannah didn't even consider another place, knowing that she wanted to stay in Wyoming. She believed that a law degree would help her achieve her goal of serving the state. "I couldn't imagine being anywhere else," she says. "I care deeply for the state and its citizens and giving back to my home state was really important to me."
In a year with many changes, Hannah has been the rock in the Defender Aid Program. As the Student Director, she has brought her prior experience in the clinic, her professionalism and her passion for helping clients to the table and has been an outstanding leader.
"Being in the Clinic was the best way to get involved in the real life practice of law, while still in law school," she comments. "I want to be good at what I do, and more importantly, I want to help people. The clinic gives me practical skills and allows me the chance to make a difference in the lives of those who need it."
