These are among the activities scheduled May 28-June 3 at the University of Wyoming:
Monday, May 28 -- Most UW administrative offices will be closed, and classes will be dismissed for Memorial Day.
Tuesday, May 29, 7 p.m. -- UW Planetarium full-dome movie, “Mayan Archaeoastronomy: Observers of the Universe.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”
Wednesday, May 30-Thursday, May 31 -- UW’s Wyoming Geographic Information Science Center will host a two-day event on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The Wyoming UAV Symposium will take place at the UW Conference Center. To register, go to www.uwyo.edu/wygisc/uav_symposium/uav_2018_program.html.
Friday, June 1, 8 p.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “Astronomy Myth Busters.” The STAR Observatory on the rooftop of the Physical Sciences Building will be open from 8-10 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”
Saturday, June 2, 10 a.m.-noon -- The UW Art Museum will host Family Saturday Workshop for families and individuals of all ages. Free.
Sunday, June 3, 1:30 p.m. -- UW’s Exercise is Medicine on Campus presents “Walk with a Doc” in Laramie’s Washington Park. Free.
Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
