Snyder's Convocation Speech:
"The UW School of Nursing chose Snyder for the honor of delivering the Convocation message," says DNP Program coordinator Ann Marie Hart, "due to the excellence he demonstrated throughout the program--excellence in academia, scholarship, clinical practice, professionalism and leadership."
Snyder gives a preview of his upcoming address: "I plan to honor the 2015 graduates on their tremendous achievement and will discuss the many opportunities that now present to them, given the diverse nature of the nursing field."
Snyder continues: "No matter what practice setting they choose, I want to encourage our graduates to continue to contribute positively to the nursing profession by being innovative in their approach and by constantly striving to provide the best care possible. I want to discuss the term, disruptive innovation, which is used to describe an approach to process improvement that challenges norms and facilitates positive change."
Snyder has a great vision for this first class of UW DNP Graduates: "I have no doubt that these graduates will contribute significantly to the health and wellness of those they encounter, but will also be excellent representatives of our profession and will lead the way toward a brighter future."
