Ed Koncel

(Ed.D. University of Wyoming, 1992)  Instructional design and instructional technology.

Ed Koncel is an assistant lecturer in physics at the University of Wyoming.  He received his B.S. in Mathematics, with an emphasis on Physics and Applied Sciences, from Portland State University, Portland, Oregon in 1969; his M.S. in Instructional Technology and Adult Education from the University of Wyoming in 1988; and his Ed.D. in Instructional Design and Instructional Technology from the University of Wyoming in 1992.

Throughout his graduate work at the University of Wyoming he taught courses in Instructional Technology in the College of Education.  From 1992 – 1999 he taught introductory mathematics courses for the Laramie County Community College – University of Wyoming co-operative mathematics program in Laramie.  He currently teaches general introductory Physics lecture, discussion and laboratory sections.

He received the Cap and Gown Chapter of Mortar Board “Top Prof” award in 2001 and 2006 and the "College of Arts and Sciences" “Top Teacher” award in Physical Sciences from the graduates of 2008 as well as in four previous years.
