Transfer Saddle Up

Fall College Transfer Preparation Program

What: Transfer Saddle Up |  Fall 2026

When: August 28th, 2026

Where: University of Wyoming Campus

Join us for Transfer Saddle Up on Friday, August 28th! Transfer Saddle Up is a one-day program designed to welcome new students transferring to UW at no extra cost. Students will have the opportunity to experience UW's campus, build community, and connect with resources essential to the UW student experience. Start your journey at UW feeling prepared and confident!

As a transfer student at the University of Wyoming, you’re in good company – 45% of UW students also started their college journey at another institution and transferred to UW. Transfer students bring unique perspectives, and questions to campus which is why we developed Transfer Saddle Up. Programs like Transfer Saddle Up have been shown to have a positive impact on college graduation rates by focusing specifically on the needs of transfer students.

Students who are living in the residence halls during the fall semester and who attend Transfer Saddle Up can move into their hall two days early (on Thursday, August 27th) at no additional charge. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please let us know so we can coordinate your early move-in with Residence Life and Housing!
