Saddle Up is required for all first-time, full-time students attending the University of Wyoming.
Students entering their first semester at UW will be enrolled in the one-credit Saddle
Up course at New Student Days or during online summer advising meetings. Financial aid may be available to students
who require assistance with fees for this program.
One Credit Hour
UW follows a block tuition model. The one credit hour Saddle Up course is counted toward student fall courseloads for financial aid and block tuition purposes.
Housing and Dining Cost
There is a $400 fee for meals and housing for the week of Saddle Up. Students who have an approved exemption from living in the residence halls for the semester will still be required to participate in Saddle Up programming, including mealtimes. This will incur a dining cost of $220 for off-campus students regardless of use.
