The Cowboy Need Grant is a need-based grant available to eligible Wyoming resident undergraduate students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate unmet financial need. Grant eligibility is determined using FAFSA data, including Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) and the Student Aid Index (SAI), and grants are offered on a first-come, first-served basis while funding remains available. Grant amounts may be reduced for students approved for a Block Tuition exemption.
Students must be degree-seeking through UW's Laramie or Casper campuses. UW Online students are not eligible for these grants.
Please note: All University of Wyoming financial awards or grants are only available to eligible admits. The awards or grants are subject to available funding and the approval of the UW Board of Trustees; they reserve the right to change said rates at any time.
