Literacy provides the foundation for which effective learning can take place and is critical to a student’s long-term success. Teaching literacy is an ever-evolving practice that changes with new research and available technology. Educators need to continuously improve their practice to stay at the leading edge to best support their students as they gain literacy skills.
The University of Wyoming Master of Education Literacy Concentration program will ensure you are able to stay at the forefront of literacy research and utilize current best practices to innovate the way students are taught to read and write in your classroom, school, or district.
The M.A. in education program is available to teachers with at least one year of classroom experience. Students will learn from faculty, including endowed chairs in mathematics, science and literacy education, who have a wide array of research interests and years of P-12 classroom experience.
