Please complete the IEP online application and provide the $40 application fee. Be sure your IEP application is complete by uploading all the required documents:
- Current valid passport at least 1 year available before the expiration date
- Completed IEP Confidential Financial Statement (CFS Form)
- Financial documents
- Transcripts (Unofficial copies acceptable for IEP. Official copies are needed for UW degree applications.)
When you complete both the IEP application and an undergraduate degree program application, you can also receive a letter of conditional admission undergraduate study with the I-20 for English study:
- Complete an undergraduate application at the same time as applying to the IEP.
- Only pay one application fee—the one-time fee covers both IEP and undergraduate applications.
- Official transcripts (for the undergraduate program) must be sent to University of Wyoming Admissions directly from your previous school (admissions@uwyo.edu).
- Make the degree application for the semester following the one for your IEP application. For example: IEP application for FALL 2025, then Computer Science degree application for SPRING 2026.
- You will be accepted to the IEP with a welcome email.
- Your documents will be emailed directly to you. The International Students & Scholars (ISS) office will send you a Form I-20 and information
about visa next-steps.
- After you receive these documents and information, go online and submit the I-901 SEVIS Fee.
- Make an appointment for a "non-immigrant student visa" interview at the U.S. embassy
or consulate in your country.
- Keep in touch with the English Language Center about your visa appointment and plans to move to Laramie. We are here to help!
