Vehicles and equipment with a UW license plate or title will be sold through a joint effort of Fleet Services and the Property Office.
If the vehicle is being sold (versus traded-in on a new vehicle), complete the Property Disposal Request Form .
Departmental sales will be facilitated by the Property Office.
Public sales will be facilitated by Fleet Services. Fleet Services will prep the vehicle and determine the minimum bid, reserve bid and whether or not to accept a bid if the highest bid is under reserve. Fleet Services will establish a fair market value for the item and will consult with the department as necessary during the process. Proceeds from the sale of the vehicle less applicable fees will be deposited to the department’s equipment exchange account or auxiliary account when the process is complete.
Vehicle sales are facilitated through the Public Surplus auction site.
