About the Banking and Financial Services Minor

The banking and financial services minor is an accredited 15-credit-hour program that provides students with a finance background.

Students graduate from the program feeling prepared for any finance career — or any business-related career, for that matter. As part of the program, students take three required finance courses and choose two additional business electives.

Students must be enrolled in a degree program at the UW in order to pursue a minor in finance. This ensures that students have a solid academic foundation and access to the full range of university resources necessary for success in the minor. 

In addition, students are required to earn a grade of C or higher in all courses that count toward the finance minor.
