The primary goal of 4-H is to assist youth in developing life skills that help them

Entomology provides expertise in identification of insects, bio-control of weeds,
crop protection, livestock health, integrated pest management, grasshopper control,
vector management, and pollination/beneficial insects of Wyoming landscapes.
Financial security is being able to meet future needs while keeping current with day-to-day
obligations. UW Extension reaches people through financial literacy presentations
in the community and in prisons, and through our online resources and publications.
Master Gardener trainees receive educational training in horticulture from UW Extension
Educators and learn about botany, soils, flowers, trees, shrubs, lawns, vegetables,
fruits, entomology, pesticide safety, and diagnosing plant problems.
IPM is a time-tested process to solve pest problems while minimizing risks to people
and the environment. IPM is used to manage pests sustainably in urban, agricultural,
and natural areas. IPM includes prevention, correct weed and pest identification and
