McNair Graduate Scholars Program GTA Initiative - The School of Graduate Education is pleased to announce a funding program designed
to recruit and support McNair Scholars for UW graduate programs. All
master’s and doctoral degree programs are strongly encouraged to nominate eligible
candidates for these awards. Students must be nominted by their department. Graduate
programs & departments may nominate candidates for McNair Graduate Scholars positions
for new graduate students who will matriculate at UW in Fall 2025. The McNair Graduate
Scholar awards provide support for former McNair Scholars while working toward their
graduate degrees.

Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) for Region 8 PTTC (Prevention Technology Transfer
Center) Program
The Wyoming Survey &Analysis Center (WYSAC) is seeking to hire a Prevention Graduate Research Assistant who is working toward a master’s degree in Laramie, Wyoming. This position offers
the opportunity to learn about prevention strategies and contribute to substance misuse
prevention on a regional scale while working closely with Indigenous and remote communities
in our prevention training efforts. This individual will play a key role in supporting
our prevention training efforts, particularly those aimed at addressing the needs
of tribal communities and remote communities in the region. Anticipated start date would be Spring 2025.

Development Graduate Assistant – Cowboy Joe Club – Athletics
The Cowboy Joe Club graduate assistant will work to support the daily functions of
the Ragtime Club (young alumni) and W-Club (former student-athletes) portions of the
CJC Annual Fund. The position will also help to oversee the daily communications functions

Wellness Center Graduate Assistant: The Wellness Center Graduate Assistant is primarily responsible for facilitation and instruction of the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) curriculum as well as some of the associated administrative tasks. This position requires weekly office hours and regular instruction of the course (including some nights & weekends) for a total of 20 hours/week.
