I attained my Bachelor's degree in Sports Science from the University of Mainz in Germany.
My main focus is in Exercise and Sport Psychology. Working primarily with self-determination theory, I am currently involved in several projects with my advisor Dr. Tucker Readdy. Our main focus has been exploring motivation within our football team. My thesis research is also grounded in self-determination theory and will explore motivational patterns in collegiate spirit squads with the ultimate goal of providing student-athletes and coaches with a better understanding of their motivation and strategies for producing overall well-being, optimal motivation, and effective performance.
When I started looking for a Graduate program, I felt very comfortable with the University of Wyoming right from the beginning. Furthermore, I was able to establish a great connection with my prospective thesis advisor. It just seemed like a great overall fit for me.
I am currently a 2nd year MS and Graduate Assistant. After completing my degree in the Spring, I intend on continuing my education and pursue a PhD in Exercise and Sport Psychology.
Try and use every opportunity you get to be involved and meet people. UW is a great place to work very closely with faculty which opens up many great possibilities. Do not be afraid to ask people if there is something you would like to be involved with.
