Tappy is originally from Laramie, WY and grew up ranching just out east of town. Her path initially started in Veterinary medicine, and then progressed to human medicine following a study-abroad experience in Tanzania, Africa where she lived, and worked in a hospital serving the local Maasai tribe. While her options are open, she is most interested in Family Medicine, and was fortunate to be accepted into the TRUST program which she believes will be very conducive for growing and expanding her knowledge base within the field. When she is not studying, she enjoys hiking, climbing, backpacking, camping, and horseback riding with her husband Aaron, their two dogs Country and Ranger, and their mini-pig Sophie.
