Tom was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming and attended Natrona County High School. He realized a career in medicine was right for him when he got to meet some amazing kids at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Salt Lake City as a part of the 2017 Wyoming Shrine Bowl football game. Tom next attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana, where he played linebacker for the Fighting Saints football team and completed majors in Biology and Health Sciences in 2021. Throughout college, Tom also enjoyed working in the emergency department as a scribe, volunteering for the local food shelter, being an academic tutor, and volunteering with Special Olympics. He is keeping an open mind when thinking about choosing a specialty and he is excited to see and learn as much as he can. In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his friends and family, hunting, fly fishing, and skiing.
