Not all students at UW were eligible to receive federal funding such as the CARES Act to support paying their education during COVD-19. Particularly, DACA and international students. ASUW has started a fund to help support these students.

April 15, 2021
The 2021 ASUW General Election voting concluded on April 14. A new President and Vice President were elected and 30 of the 32 Senate seats were filled.

After the discussions of diversity back in February, ASUW hosted a town hall regarding diversity and inclusion with President Seidel.

February 24, 2021
Following the racist Zoom attack on Dr. Dixon's Black History Month event sponsored by the Black Studies Center, President Seidel hosted a virtual town hall with Dr. Fredrick Douglass Dixon, Dr. Jacquelyn Bridgeman, UW’s Kepler Professor of Law and director of the School of Culture, Gender and Social Justice, and Timberly Vogel, the Black Studies Center director of community engagement.
