College of Business

Dean's Office

As an AACSB Accredited College of Business, our responsibility is not to simply graduate students, but to ensure that they have practical skills that can be put to good use in the business world. We equip students with the necessary tools so that they can be immediate contributors to the organizations they join upon graduation. While a large part of that process involves classroom learning, we strive to provide our students additional experiential learning opportunities in many different areas to round out their academic careers. Our Peter M. & Paula Green Johnson Career Center is dedicated to assisting students in finding internship and job opportunities. Our process takes students from “backpacks to briefcases,” beginning with resume workshops and elevator pitches, leading to career fairs and final interviews. Experiential learning is not limited to what our career center can offer though.

Academic Departments

Distance Education Through the College of Business

We offer students who cannot physically join us on campus the ability to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSAD) degreee as well as an Online Masters of Business Administration degree delivered through Online UW. These programs are accredited by the nation's premier accrediting body, AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and helps students maximize their flexibility in the business world.

The Online BSAD degree is a completion-program designed to be enrolled in after you have successfully completed general education and prerequisite business coursework for the first two years of this degree elsewhere.  The program allows you to complete the last two years of the degree online at the University of Wyoming.  Therefore, the BSAD online degree requires students to have completed Advanced Business Standing (ABS) prerequisite coursework, which can be taken from an accredited Wyoming community college (click here) or other university, before completing upper division coursework from the University of Wyoming.

The part-time, Online MBA Program is specifically designed for experienced business professionals interested in a fully AACSB International accredited, 100% online program that fits their busy schedules. This two-year program is intended for professionals that are interested in enhancing their understanding of business disciplines and applying them to decision-making in the workplace. The cohort-based, lock-step program begins each Fall semester and consists of 30 credit hours of coursework.
